This presentation focuses on preparing your staff before, during, and after an Alma migration. Topics include, what decisions your institution may need to look at before you make the move to Alma, how you should approach your initial test load and your on-site visits, and what you should do to manage both your expectations and the expectations of other acquisitions staff members. The goal of this presentation is to help other acquisition departments learn from the experiences of the University of Texas at Dallas and as a result, refine and improve their institutions migration experience. date: 2013 full_text_status: restricted pres_type: speech event_title: Ex Libris Southcentral Users Group event_location: Texas Health Science Libraries Consortium event_dates: October 24, 2013 event_type: conference refereed: TRUE citation: Pate, David (2013) The Acquisitions Transition: Preparing Acquisitions Staff for Migration to Alma.
