      "abstract": "I\u2019m no expert, but I do find regular expressions useful for manipulating text, such as MARC records and XML files. I\u2019ll start with some pattern matching basics, and go into some of the more complex examples I\u2019ve borrowed or created. Most of my experience and examples are with Perl and Aleph, but the concepts are applicable to other languages and systems.",
