After being live on Alma for about a year, staff at the UConn Library felt we had adjusted to the new system and were reasonably familiar with it, but that we could improve our use of Alma’s extensive functionality. For guidance, we contracted with Ex Libris for the Optimize service. An Ex Libris consultant provided analysis, guidance, and recommendations regarding Alma functionality and local workflows. This presentation will include an overview of the Optimize service and cover library preparation for the service, working with Ex Libris, and short- and long-term plans for applying our new knowledge. It is appropriate for any library considering ways to improve staff use of Alma. date: 2017-05-12 full_text_status: restricted pres_type: other event_title: ELUNA 2017 Annual Meeting event_location: Schaumburg, Illinois event_type: conference refereed: TRUE citation: Christopher, Janice and Larson, John (2017) Optimize it! : Working with Ex Libris to improve use of Alma.
