Applying LEAN methodology through the RIE, workflow wastes were identified and replaced with a consistent, coordinated and efficient approach. Over time, the digitization service has been offered to more library business areas, workflows have been further reviewed and refined, particularly with the Pick From Shelf list management. In May 2016, Macquarie became an early access partner to assist with testing and shaping the new Alma Mobile App, which primarily focuses on providing simple access to the Pick From Shelf list. While adapting the new technology, a question remains unanswered: Is this just another shiny gadget ExLibris is introducing, or can the app bring significant efficiency to our workflows? This session, I will present on our journey of workflow mapping as well as how we put the new Alma Mobile App to the efficiency test. date: 2017-05-10 full_text_status: restricted pres_type: other event_title: ELUNA 2017 Annual Meeting event_location: Schaumburg, Illinois event_dates: May 10-12, 2017 event_type: conference refereed: TRUE citation: Wai, Tony (2017) Reduce workflow wastes by leveraging Alma Mobile App. In: ELUNA 2017 Annual Meeting, May 10-12, 2017, Schaumburg, Illinois. document_url: https://beta-documents.el-una.org/id/eprint/1519/1/Tony%20Lok%20Hang%20WAI_Reduce%20Workflow%20Waste%20by%20Leveraging%20Alma%20Mobile%20App_SchaumburgAB_10May2017_230pm.pptx
