"abstract": "As library and data professionals, we have a tendency to hoard information for possible later use, and -- auditing purposes aside -- acquisitions data is certainly no exception. But when does it make sense to migrate legacy acquisitions data, and which data is of tantamount importance to keep? Furthermore, how might a migration shape and develop acquisitions practice and policy for the library? This session will provide an overview of the\u00a0opportunities and challenges faced when deciding whether to migrate acquisitions data from a legacy system to Alma. Examples and considerations from CSUDH's migration experience will be discussed.",
