As Access Services evaluated and mapped our workflows to plan for the migration, we realized we had to address the elephant in the room: Voyager’s Media Scheduling (MS) module. We had historically used MS to schedule DVDs and VHS tapes for faculty classroom use, which helped us foster a high-demand service. For the migration, we turned to Alma’s booking request functionality to carry things forward into modernity. This presentation will examine our transition process from MS to Alma bookings, and the many twists and turns staff encountered while trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. date: 2018-05-03 full_text_status: restricted pres_type: other event_title: ELUNA 2018 Annual Meeting event_location: Spokane, Washington event_dates: May 1-4, 2018 event_type: conference refereed: TRUE citation: Conley, James and Martin, Chris (2018) Ex Videus: From Media Scheduling to Alma Bookings, a Comedy of Errors.
