In 2017, we decided to switch library systems again, this time as one of the first libraries to move from WMS to Alma. This presentation will look at our journey from WMS & Discovery to Alma & Primo exploring why we made the decision to move, the differences and similarities between the two systems, the challenges of migration, and the impacts Alma & Primo have had on our library processes, staff, and patrons. The panel of presenters includes representatives from UTC's collection services, public services, and information technology departments, each of whom was deeply involved in the migrations to both WMS and Alma. date: 2018-05-03 full_text_status: restricted pres_type: other event_title: ELUNA 2018 Annual Meeting event_location: Spokane, Washington event_dates: May 1-4, 2018 event_type: conference refereed: TRUE citation: Baker, Bo and Schurr, Andrea (2018) From Cloud to Cloud: Migrating to Alma & Primo from OCLC's WMS & Discovery.
