Long term management and access is important for everyone working with digital materials to understand, not only the importance of digital preservation, but how to implement a program within your organization. The presentation will look at six fundamental topics of preserving digital objects: 1.) Identify the types of digital content you have and select the digital content you want to be accessible long-term. 2.) Use standard methods for managing long term file metadata 3.) Store your digital content securely 4.) Protect your content from everyday threats (changes, obsolescence, loss, etc.) 5.) Create a preservation plan for long term management. 6.) Provide access to digital content over time.</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">General Topics</mods:classification><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8601">2019-05-03</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Conference or Workshop Item</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_eprint_1801"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_eprint_1801_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="MODS"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
