abstract: This session will show practical solutions to several Summary of Holdings related challenges. Tennessee Technological University undertook a project 1) to make sure all physical journals have accurate Summary of Holdings statements, 2) to remove all withdrawn physical journals from Alma, and 3) to update the phrasing of all Summary of Holdings statements to be easier to understand. This project was tricky because older runs of journals with only Bibliographic and Holdings records (without Item records attached) cannot be searched with Physical Title or Physical Item queries, so updating Summary of Holdings statements requires creative solutions.
