      "abstract": "On May 22, 2018, Kansas State University Libraries experienced a fire that resulted in major smoke and water damage. The campus computing center was located in the basement of the library and also sustained major water damage rendering campus services unavailable. In the days following, it quickly became apparent that the materials in the main library would be temporarily unavailable. As the summer moved forward, the disaster scope grew, and the timeframe changed to unavailable for several years. This presentation will look at how the Libraries quickly modified their services to reflect the new reality. Topics covered will include:   \r\n\r\nChanges made to location and library displays   \r\nCreation of a satellite library for service continuity  \r\nModifications made on the handling of requests  \r\nHandling of renewals  \r\nModifications of links to emphasize Interlibrary Loan \r\nAccess to electronic resources without campus authentication \r\nOther useful tips should you need to modify Alma and Primo in a hurry",
