Using the 360 Overlap Analysis Tool ispublished: pub subjects: Intota/360Link subjects: summon divisions: eluna_conf abstract: For most institutions, money is a precious and finite commodity. We simply can’t afford to pay for the same thing twice. Yet, in an age of increased corporate consolidation, it may be happening more than people realize. This session will discuss the importance of overlap reports and how to create them using the 360 overlap analysis tool included in the 360 family of products with Summon and 360 Link. In this session, the presenter will demonstrate how to use the tool, including running reports, adding and removing resources, understanding the results, and exporting various categories of titles. The presenter also will discuss the limitations associated with the 360 overlap analysis tool. Additionally, the session will highlight how one institution has integrated overlap reports into its workflows for pricing request/trials and renewals. Having overlap information offers a clearer picture of what institutions are truly paying for so we can better manage our collections and budgets. date: 2019-05-01 date_type: completed full_text_status: restricted pres_type: other event_title: ELUNA 2019 Annual Meeting event_location: Atlanta, GA event_dates: April 29-May 3, 2019 event_type: conference refereed: TRUE citation: Smith, Mandi (2019) Why Pay Twice?
