Librarians that analyze collections with Alma ILS systems depend on it to extract reports that represent how patrons interact with our collections. Canned Alma reports and dashboards provide a base for answering collection-driven questions but each institution has specialized needs. Learning groups, recreation of historical collection reports, modifying Alma dashboard reports, and responding to collection questions from bibliographers provides valuable data collection lessons. In this presentation I plan to provide a set of useful best practices for developing collection-related reports in Alma Analytics. These practices will assist anyone who wants to learn more about the growth, usage and cost of print and electronic collections. date: 2019-05-01 full_text_status: restricted pres_type: other event_title: ELUNA 2019 Annual Meeting event_location: Atlanta, GA event_dates: April 29-May 3, 2019 event_type: conference refereed: TRUE citation: Larrivee, Anne (2019) Collection Analysis Best Practices within Alma Analytics.
