title: Customizing Alma: Improving the Staff Experience

abstract: Alma can be a complicated interface to learn and use. In this session, aimed at beginners and intermediate users, we will be presenting some ways to customize Alma that will improve the staff experience and make some functions easier. We will show the audience how to customize quick links, widgets, colors, widths, and fonts in Alma to their own specifications. Also, we will be showing how to customize sorting and displaying of search results, and how to customize the controlled vocabulary registry, as well as some Metadata Editor shortcuts. As new Alma features are released between now and conference time, we will be reviewing them and adding them to this presentation if they fit into the criteria.
