Vanderbilt's Primo back-office server encountered a hardware failure in early October. As a result we were able to revise our backup/restore procedure. The last week of October the same server failed again and we were given the unique opportunity to quickly test revised plans. This session will discuss using Ex Libris' backup solution as well as discuss some options for backup/restore. We also hope to discuss some of the insights into Primo gained during this process. date: 2009-05-06 date_type: published full_text_status: restricted pres_type: paper event_title: ELUNA 2009 event_location: Richmond, Va. event_dates: 6-8 May 2009 event_type: conference refereed: FALSE citation: Poulter, Dale (2009) Primo down!: Lessons learned, tested, and relearned from a Primo hardware failure.
