Murrey Atkins Library at UNC Charlotte conducted in 2017 and our efforts to correct problems with our data that arose during the transition to the new system. We identified some of these problems in a previous ELUNA presentation, “Difficult Transitions” (2018), which focused on our experience as one of the first WorldShare Management Services (WMS) institutions to migrate to Alma. Drawing on two subsequent years of experience with Alma, this presentation will describe our efforts to clean and correct our data post migration and make records fully functional. Offering a deep dive into our cleanup strategies for print and electronic records, we will describe our learning experience with Alma and roadblocks we have encountered. Alma newcomers and veterans alike will gain a clearer understanding of how to tackle data cleanup projects using Alma functionalities and other tools. date: 2020-08-19 full_text_status: public pres_type: other event_title: ELUNA Learns event_type: conference refereed: FALSE citation: Tokoro, Shoko (2020) Diving into the Wreck: Post-Migration Data Cleanup at UNC Charlotte.
