%X Alma allows several options for automating POL creation at the point of order, thereby increasing acquisitions workflow efficiency. This practical presentation examines the benefits and drawbacks of two different tools designed to automate POL creation in Alma: the new order API and the new order import profile. This presentation compares how each workflow interacts with various formats and acquisition models including firm, demand-driven, approval, and ebook upgrades. Best practices for using the API and import profiles will be discussed and general guidance on Alma configuration will be provided.
