Barnes, Cataloging/Metadata Librarian, Eastern Michigan University. At our library, Voyager has traditionally been used to manage print journals while SFX is used for e-journals. This situation resulted in patrons checking two different systems to determine availability. In the past, steps were taken to integrate the two but there were always exceptions. This year we purchased the MARCIt service available with SFX and are using it to bring the two systems into sync. In this presentation, we will review what had been used in the past, how the MARCIt records have improved access to e-journals, what process we used to implement them, and how the synchronization is maintained. date: 2009-05-08 date_type: published full_text_status: restricted pres_type: speech event_title: ELUNA 2009 event_location: Richmond, Va. event_dates: 6-8 May 2009 event_type: workshop refereed: FALSE citation: Wrosch, Jackie and Barnes, Michael V.
