TY - CONF AV - restricted T2 - ELUNA 2009 N2 - Tanya Prokrym, Senior Technical Consultant, University of Notre Dame; Ben Heet, Senior Technical Consultant, University of Notre Dame. The University of Notre Dame recently re-evaluated their implementation of Metalib and federated searching. The end result is that we are implementing Xerxes, a system written by David Walker, California State University, that utilizes Metalib's knowledgebase and search capabilities via the Metalib X-Server. This presentation will discuss the user survey that changed it all, our LibQual survey, our environmental scan, metasearch issues, implementation challenges, and usability study results. Statistics for metasearch usage within the Library environment will also be presented.
