Re-re-implementing MetaLib at Notre Dame ispublished: pub subjects: meta divisions: eluna_conf keywords: Xerexes X-server abstract: Tanya Prokrym, Senior Technical Consultant, University of Notre Dame; Ben Heet, Senior Technical Consultant, University of Notre Dame. The University of Notre Dame recently re-evaluated their implementation of Metalib and federated searching. The end result is that we are implementing Xerxes, a system written by David Walker, California State University, that utilizes Metalib's knowledgebase and search capabilities via the Metalib X-Server. This presentation will discuss the user survey that changed it all, our LibQual survey, our environmental scan, metasearch issues, implementation challenges, and usability study results. Statistics for metasearch usage within the Library environment will also be presented. date: 2009-05-07 date_type: published full_text_status: restricted pres_type: speech event_title: ELUNA 2009 event_location: Richmond, Va. event_dates: 6-8 May 2009 event_type: conference refereed: FALSE citation: Prokrym, Tanya and Heet, Benjamin (2009) The End Results?!
