Anticipating future e-book purchases, Valdosta will share the lessons learned during the recent acquisition of two such collections and subsequent processing of the accompanying MARC records for catalog entry and public display. The batch upload of mostly non-OCLC MARC records necessitated new routines that have impacted both Marcive authority processing and workflow. Per vendor suggestion, MarcEdit was utilized to convert records to the Unicode character set and to edit the 856 field.
