Highsmith, Consortia Systems Coordinator, Texas A&M University. This session will detail the steps necessary to migrate an existing SFX installation to a new server and set up the old server to serve as a test installation. TAMU Libraries has recently completed such a migration and will be sharing its experiences. TAMU is a multi-instance, consortial SFX setup, which provided interesting challenges during the process, as did the migration from a Solaris to a Linux system. Audience members will receive how-to instructions, including a sample migration script, and tips on pitfalls to avoid. date: 2009-05-09 full_text_status: restricted pres_type: speech event_title: ELUNA 2009 event_location: Richmond, Va. event_dates: 6-8 May 2009 event_type: conference refereed: FALSE citation: Highsmith, Anne L.
