abstract: This is a complete overview of how Alma's physical fulfillment configuration for libraries and institutions work, the value of understanding how it works, and a walkthrough of how to best go about planning and executing any changes that an organization may want to make to it. Modeled after Union College's complete restructuring of the systems functioned, we'll provide full details on how checking out materials is determined by the system, how blocks function, building out overdue notices and fees, and more. This will provide a full picture for other organizations of how they could go about making appropriate changes to their own configuration structures to provide better services and clean up their data.
