This is a brainstorming session where the participants draw from their practical experience using serials modules to create from scratch their fantasy serials module. Part one will focus on the life-cycle of an issue from the mail table through to the bound shelf. We’ll look at the support operations such as claiming, binding, and statistics among others. Part two looks more toward the acquisitions side including ordering, budgets, and incorporating vendor products and other third party programs with an eye toward the transfer of data between these products while eliminating dual entry problems. date: 2008-07-31 full_text_status: restricted pres_type: speech event_title: ELUNA 2008 event_location: Long Beach, Ca. event_dates: 30 July - 1 August 2009 event_type: conference refereed: FALSE citation: Lampley, Michael and Gibbs, Nancy (2008) Fantasy Serials Module.
