Integrating MetaLib into existing workflows for creating course and subject guides has been an effective strategy for engaging our staff. In addition the development of local web-based tools has made the content of MetaLib more transparent. Staff are able to browse dynamic lists of resources available in MetaLib and the extent to which they are cross-searchable, lists of new resources, the assignment of categories to resources, and the placement of deep links.
