This session compares the "before" and "after" versions of the ALEPH OPAC (version 18) at Brandeis and demonstrates how the new version improves usability. Essential elements of graphic design will be introduced as they pertain to web-based applications. Audience members will learn basic principles that they can apply not only to the OPAC, but to other web-based systems as well.
