The three highly visible uses of type are as: (1) a search pre-filter; (2) a resource facet; and (3) a display type. The not-so-obvious use of type is as part of the search string itself. This presentation looks at the relationships of these values, how they are mapped to the PNX record, and how the related normalization rules may be customized. date: 2010-05-13 date_type: published full_text_status: restricted pres_type: speech event_title: ELUNA 2010 event_location: Fort Worth, Texas event_dates: 11-13 May 2010 event_type: conference refereed: FALSE citation: Thomas, Steve (2010) Resource Types in the Primo Normalized XML (PNX) Record.
