The goal of this project is improve access to Aleph training for a large library staff with differing levels of experience, while reducing the number of in-person training sessions offered. In this session, we will outline our process for creating the online tutorials, from scripting to production and deployment. We will also share a number of best practices we have discovered, and address some software quirks rising from the interaction between Aleph and Captivate. Our session will focus on the Cataloging module, but the lessons learned can be applied to creating online tutorials for any Aleph module, or even other Ex Libris products. date: 2012-05 date_type: published full_text_status: restricted pres_type: lecture event_title: ELUNA 2012 event_location: Salt Lake City, Utah event_dates: May 9-11, 2012 event_type: conference refereed: FALSE citation: Sway, Hank and Thornton, Alison (2012) Online Aleph Training at Harvard Using Adobe Captivate.
