</mods:title></mods:titleInfo><mods:name type="personal"><mods:namePart type="given">Jan</mods:namePart><mods:namePart type="family">Sung</mods:namePart><mods:role><mods:roleTerm type="text">author</mods:roleTerm></mods:role></mods:name><mods:abstract>Last summer, 200+ books were stolen from the UH at Manoa Library. The theft was discovered after an antiquarian bookdealer inquired about books offered to him for sale. Circulation records could not be used as evidence because the theft went unwitnessed. However, we believe the theft was the result of a flaw in our service, which led to several questions including whether the service should be kept, knowing that it could lead to more thefts.&#13;
