abstract: Abstract: Loading bibliographic records in Aleph can be very time-consuming, especially if one’s site handles a number of different record sets from a variety of vendors and sub-accounts. This presentation will describe the steps we use to automate the vast majority of our bib record loads without any intervention by staff. I will explain the process from start to finish including FTP from the vendor server, record modifications, loading, holdings and items creation, file renaming and archiving on the server, and the reporting component that staff use to monitor the loads.
