I will quickly cover some SQL basics and then present a number of helpful functions and techniques to extract and manipulate data. Some of these include SUBSTR, INSTR, DECODE, UNION, REPLACE, COMPUTE, “successive” queries, the use of TEMP tables, Oracle SQL Loader, Oracle Database Links, and so forth. There will be time for attendees to share their own SQL tips and tricks as well as ask any questions they might have.
